Kodori ships two navigations over exactly the same product. Pick whichever one matches how you work.
**Full view** (the default) lists every surface Kodori has in a grouped sidebar: Documents, Legal, AEC, Governance, Integrations, Workspace. If you administer the workspace and want everything one click away, this is the one you want.
**Simple view** puts seven entries in the left rail and moves search into the top bar. It is modelled on FileHold's client in both shape and colour, so if your team is coming from FileHold it should already feel familiar: navy pane chrome, a grey working area with white document panels, and the sage-green highlight on the row you have selected.
## What the seven entries are
- **Home** - your dashboard: recent activity, alerts, what needs attention. - **Library** - the three-pane explorer at /browse. Collections on the left, documents in the middle, metadata on the right. - **My Kodori** - your own work on one screen. What you have checked out, what you uploaded recently, your saved searches, and anyone waiting on a reply from you. - **Inbox** - the triage queue. Documents that still need a doc type or required fields. Carries a count badge. - **Search** - keyword and semantic search across everything you can read. There is also a search box in the top bar on every page. - **Recycle bin** - deleted documents, restorable within the retention window. - **All tools** - everything else, grouped into labelled tiles with a line explaining what each one does.
The top bar carries the two things you reach for hourly: the search box, an "Add documents" button, and Ask Kodori.
## Nothing is hidden and nothing is removed
Both views serve the same routes. Every feature, permission and deep link behaves identically. A bookmark you saved in one view works in the other, and you can switch back and forth mid-session without losing your place. Tiles on /tools that you cannot use are hidden based on your role, exactly as the sidebar hides them in full view.
## How to switch
Either from **Account settings → Navigation style**, or from the switcher at the bottom of the navigation ("Switch to simple view" / "Switch to full view").
The setting is per-user. Your teammates keep whatever they picked, and an admin switching to simple view does not change what anyone else sees.
## If you are migrating from FileHold
The mapping is deliberate: Library is FileHold's Library, My Kodori is My FileHold, Inbox is your Inbox, Recycle bin is the Recycle Bin, and All tools is the Administration panel widened to include practitioner surfaces (the privilege log, the RFI tracker, AP review) that in Kodori are not admin-only.
The colours are deliberate too, and taken from the FileHold client itself rather than approximated. The intent is that someone who has used FileHold for years can sit down in front of Kodori and not have to relearn where to look.
Two things differ on purpose. Corners are squarer than Kodori's usual styling, matching FileHold's grid. And simple view has a dark theme, which FileHold does not, so nothing breaks if your machine is set to dark mode.
